Pressed for Purpose, Brewed for Joy
There is a reason we chose the coffee press as a symbol within the Dominion experience. It's not accidental, neither is it about aesthetic. It's prophetic, practical, and deeply instructional.
A coffee press teaches us something most people try to avoid: pressure is not punishment, it's a process.
Dominion Begins With the Press
When coffee grounds are placed into a press, nothing looks remarkable at first. Just beans that are ground and waiting. But it's what happens after the water is poured, after the heat is applied is where everything changes.
The press does not destroy the coffee. It extracts what was already there.
In the same way, dominion is not about striving, proving, or forcing outcomes. Dominion is about allowing pressure to draw out purpose, flavor, clarity, and strength that already exists within you.
This is the Dominion experience:
- not rushing the process
- not resisting the press
- not fearing the weight
But understanding that which rises after the press is richer, fuller, bold, and intentional.
So What is Dominion Really?
The misconception about dominion is often defined as control. True dominion, however, is living a life of stewardship. Authority with responsibility. Power anchored in identity.
When you press coffee, you don't dominate it violently, you guide it patiently. You wait. You trust the process. You let time, temperature, and pressure do their work.
Dominion works the same way in life, leadership, creativity, and calling:
- you don’t rush maturation
- you don’t bypass formation
- you don’t shortcut joy
You allow yourself to be formed, refined, and released.
This is the Dominion Experience.
